The short version

  • The tools are free to use, with no account needed.
  • Only upload files you have the right to use, and keep your own copy of important documents.
  • The tools are provided as they are - check the result before you rely on it.
  • Don't use the site for anything illegal or to harm it or other people - including making or altering fake documents.
  • If you misuse the tools, you alone are responsible for it.

These terms apply when you use GaneshEdit ("the site", "we"), run by Krishna. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. Using the tools

The tools are free and need no account. You may use them for personal and business work. We may add, change or remove tools, or limit how they are used - for example the size of files - at any time, so the site stays available for everyone.

2. Your files

  • You keep ownership. Uploading a file gives us no rights over it. It is used only to run the tool you chose, as described in the privacy policy.
  • Your responsibility. Only upload files you own or are allowed to work with. Removing a password with Protect PDF, for example, is only for documents you are entitled to open.
  • Keep a copy. Files are deleted from the server after processing, so we can't recover a file or a result for you later. Always keep your original.

3. What is not allowed

You must not:

  • use the site to break the law, or to process material that is illegal or that you have no right to use;
  • create, forge or alter documents in order to deceive anyone - for example government identity documents (such as Aadhaar, PAN, passport, voter ID or driving licence), certificates, mark sheets, bills, invoices, bank or legal papers, stamps, seals, currency, or another person's signature;
  • present an edited or converted document as an original, unaltered one when it is not;
  • process content that is obscene, harms children, threatens or harasses anyone, infringes someone else's copyright or other rights, or impersonates another person;
  • try to get around a document's protection that you are not entitled to remove;
  • upload files designed to harm the site or other people, such as malware;
  • overload the site - for example with automated bulk requests - or try to break into or disrupt it.

You are solely responsible for the files you process and for how you use the results. We may block access for anyone who breaks these rules, and we will cooperate with lawful requests from courts and government authorities as the law requires. Because files are deleted after processing, we generally cannot provide their contents.

4. Results are not guaranteed

We work hard to make the tools accurate, but they are provided "as is", without any guarantee. In particular:

  • A converted file (such as PDF to Word, Excel or PowerPoint, or Word to PDF) may not look exactly like the original. Please check it before use.
  • Repair PDF can't always recover every page of a damaged file.
  • A signature added with Sign PDF is a picture of your signature on the page. It is not a certificate-based digital signature (DSC) or Aadhaar eSign, and it may not be accepted where one of those is required.

The site may sometimes be slow or unavailable, and we can't promise it will always be free of errors.

5. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its results - including lost data, lost documents, or a result that turns out to be wrong. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot legally be limited.

6. Paid services

All tools on the site are free today. If a paid option is offered (or you hire us for custom work through our services page), its price is shown before you pay, and payments, refunds and delivery follow our refund & cancellation policy and delivery policy.

7. The site's own content

The site's design, text and code belong to GaneshEdit. Some parts use open-source software and fonts under their own licences.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that can't be settled by talking to us first will be handled by the competent courts in India. If you use the site from another country, you are also responsible for following your local laws.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated terms.

10. Grievance officer

In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, complaints about the site - including misuse of the tools or a breach of these terms - can be sent to our grievance officer:

We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days of receiving them.
